The band was founded in the year 2007 in Athens,Greece by Theo & Jon, in order to deliver uncompromising extreme metal. Later on
Constantine, Noir and Nick joined in the wolfpack.
In 2008 DESCENDING released their debut album called „Enter Annihilation“ by Massacre Records in Europe and
Spiritual Beast Records (Japan).
Although it was a debut album the band managed to receive numerous of positive reviews and feedback from the press from all over the
world (Japan / Burrn,Young Guitar - Germany / Rock Hard (Soundcheck #18), Metal Hammer (Soundcheck #9) - UK / Terrorizer,Kerrang
- Greece / Rock Hard,Metal Hammer) and performed headline shows all over Greece and also in major summer festivals such as Rocking Athens Festival (Greece) and Exit Festival (Serbia) in 2009.As a spinal tap Descending have been the ones to support Heaven and Hell,Blind Guardian,Testament,Gojira,The Haunted,Shadows Fall and Neaera in Greece and they were actually chosen from Lamb of God themselves to support their show in Athens in 2010.
After a long period of intensive work in Greece and Sweden along with producer Fredrik Nordstrom (In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy etc.) at Fredman studios, the band is ready to deliver their follower to their debut album „Enter Annihilation“, which was released in European and Japanese Markets in 2008-2009.
