Le nom du groupe se prononce « ool-wooth » et signifie animosité ou hostilité. Il a été formé début 2015 à Reykjavik, en Islande.
Le groupe commente :
« Nous sommes très heureux de sortir notre premier album complet avec Dark Descent ! Cet album annonce notre entité et déclare notre intention : vous immerger dans notre rituel de catharsis et de cacophonie ! Nous sommes impatients de partager notre musique avec vous. Le moment est venu ! »
